Job summary

Bozeman Community Food Co-op is seeking a part-time CDT Cook II to prepare attractive, high-quality lunch, dinner, and soups. Shifts are Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday 12:30pm–7:30pm.

One year of commercial cooking experience is required, along with knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards. You will follow or create recipes, weigh and label products, monitor temperatures, rotate stock, and help minimize waste.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of commercial cooking experience.
• Knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes and produce food in large quantities.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and to bend and twist repeatedly.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare attractive, high-quality entrees, soups, and other dishes in appropriate amounts following recipes.
• Prep, cook, taste, and season every dish prior to serving.
• Accurately weigh, label, and record product information.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain kitchen and storage areas.
• Monitor and record temperatures; rotate stock and label items.
