Proactive MD is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a part-time role supporting a health and wellness center. The CMA assists providers, performs tests and procedures, and handles administrative tasks to support patient care and engagement.

The role requires a CMA certification (preferred), BLS, and the ability to draw blood, with duties spanning clinical and clerical tasks in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to draw blood and communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• HIPAA knowledge and ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider and performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, records information, and prepares treatment rooms.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs materials management, orders and stocks supplies, and maintains a clean environment.
• Documents provider encounters and transcribes orders for lab tests, radiology, and medications.
