Job summary

Proactive MD is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical and clerical operations at our Mississippi health center. You will assist providers, take vitals, document patient information, and help maintain a smooth clinic workflow.

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, patient engagement, basic procedures, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. A CMA certification and BLS are preferred, with ability to draw blood and deliver patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to draw blood.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with treatments and follow clinical procedures as directed.
• Record vital signs and prepare treatment rooms.
• Perform clerical duties such as phone calls and record-keeping.
• Stock supplies and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
• Document provider encounters and transcribe orders (labs, radiology, medications).
