Job summary

Proactive MD seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support its clinical operations and uphold our Patient Promise: we are only and always about the patient. The CMA assists providers, performs tests, and supports clerical tasks in the health center.

Under supervision, you will measure vitals, prepare exam rooms, document encounters, transcribe orders, and help maintain a clean, orderly environment. The role values strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience with pediatric patients preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to prioritize needs and plan work accordingly.
• Willing to obtain hearing and fit testing certification if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists with provider-ordered treatments under supervision.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and prepares exam rooms.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, records, and filing.
• Manages supplies; maintains a clean, orderly environment.
• Documents encounters and transcribes orders as indicated by the provider.
