Merit Health Medical Group (hub) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and staff in a fast-paced clinic in Flowood, Mississippi. The CMA will assist with clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Ideal candidates have 0–1 year of experience in a medical setting, CMA or NCMA certification, and BCLS. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of experience in a medical practice or externship completion required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or NCMA certification required/licensed.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with clinical procedures: vital signs, wound care, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs, splints.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms for visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake, reports results, conducts triage as directed.
• Maintains daily logs and documentation of care and activities.
• Supports administrative duties: pre-registering, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification.
• Maintains organized workload and delivers courteous patient service.
• Monitors supplies and equipment; ensures inventory levels are adequate.
• Educates patients on medications, diets and health topics.
