Job summary

Proactive MD is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical and clerical operations at our health center. The CMA will assist providers, document patient encounters, draw blood, and help maintain a clean, organized environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS certification, strong communication, and ability to handle diverse patient populations. Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required; valid for at least 90 days after start date.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Ability to draw blood and perform basic clinical duties as supervised by provider or RN.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider under supervision.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information.
• Prepares exam rooms and maintains clean, orderly environment.
• Performs basic clerical duties: answering calls, maintaining records, filing.
• Transcribes orders and documents encounters as indicated by provider.
