Job summary

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a Part-time Program Manager - Physical Therapy to lead and supervise therapy staff at our Thronwood, NY assisted living community. The role focuses on building and maintaining high-quality clinical services with a patient-centered approach.

You will oversee scheduling, compliance with Medicare/Medicaid and regulatory standards, and collaboration with hospitals and physicians to expand therapy programs while maintaining excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or related healthcare field.
• Supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting preferred, ideally in rehab therapy.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities for a multidisciplinary team.
• Deep understanding of rehabilitation principles, practices, and patient care protocols.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid and applicable healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and supervise clinical therapy staff, including hiring and performance appraisals.
• Maintain a clinical caseload and ensure delivery of high-quality therapy services in compliance with standards (CARF, JCAHO).
• Develop strategies to expand therapy programs and lead initiatives like fitness or dementia programs.
• Oversee scheduling of patients and therapists to ensure coverage.
• Investigate and resolve issues, provide ongoing staff education and training.
• Ensure safe environment and infection control compliance.
