Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team with basic duties and vital monitoring. The role may also perform Health Unit Coordinator tasks as delegated, while upholding safety standards and high-quality patient service.

The ideal candidate holds Utah CNA certification with active BLS, strong communication, computer literacy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Utah is required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CNA certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
• CNA certificate expiration requires renewal before start date.
• Completion of a recent Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program.
• Verification of CNA program completion within past year is required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen changes, and comfort needs.
• Report patient care findings and condition changes promptly to RN.
• Monitor patients and assist with telemetry as required on the unit.
• Transport medications from delivery system to the RN when on a clinical unit.
• Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May perform Health Unit Coordinator duties (phones, orders, unit records, stocking, supplies).
• Implement plan of care as delegated and maintain safety policies.
