Joyce University is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor in the Salem area to mentor nursing students at local clinical sites while continuing your own professional practice.

You will guide students through hands-on clinical experiences, connect real-world nursing to coursework, and provide constructive feedback. This role supports part-time teaching while maintaining active clinical practice, with opportunities for professional growth and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in Oregon (Required).
• Master's degree in Nursing (Required).
• 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience (Required).
• Previous teaching, precepting, mentoring, or clinical education experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Guide nursing students through hands-on clinical experiences in local settings.
• Connect real-world nursing practice to coursework for students.
• Coach and mentor students to develop clinical skills, judgment, communication, and confidence.
• Observe student performance and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation.
• Identify opportunities for additional support and help students through coaching and remediation.
• Collaborate with Joyce faculty and staff to ensure a consistent, student-centered learning experience.
• Stay current in nursing practice and bring current clinical knowledge into teaching.
• Participate in university activities such as faculty meetings, pinning ceremonies, and graduation.
