Job summary

Joyce University in Southeast Michigan is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor to mentor nursing students at local clinical sites while continuing your own practice. You will guide hands-on experiences, connect real-world practice to courses, and coach students to develop clinical skills and judgment.

The role emphasizes teaching without leaving clinical work, with tuition reimbursement opportunities and a collaborative academic community.

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Michigan.
Master's degree in Nursing.
2–3 years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Guide nursing students through hands-on clinical experiences.
Connect real-world nursing practice to coursework for students.
Coach and mentor students to develop clinical skills, judgment, communication, and confidence.
Observe student performance and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation.
Collaborate with Joyce faculty and staff to support a consistent, student-centered learning experience.
Stay current in your nursing practice and bring current clinical knowledge into your teaching.
Participate in select university activities such as faculty meetings, pinning ceremonies, and graduation.
