Job summary

Joyce University in the Portland area is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor to mentor nursing students at local clinical sites while maintaining active clinical practice. You will help students build confidence, clinical judgment, and skills through hands-on experiences and real-world applications.

Requirements include an Oregon RN license, a Master’s in Nursing, and 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• RN license in the State of Oregon (current, unencumbered)
• Master's degree in Nursing
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Guide nursing students through hands-on clinical experiences in local healthcare settings
• Connect real-world nursing practice with classroom content
• Coach and mentor students to develop clinical skills, judgment, communication, and confidence
• Observe student performance and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation
• Collaborate with Joyce faculty and staff to ensure a consistent, student-centered learning experience
• Stay current in nursing practice and bring up-to-date clinical knowledge to teaching
• Participate in faculty meetings, pinning ceremonies, and graduation
