Job summary

Joyce University in Michigan is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor to bring nursing education to life in real-world clinical settings and mentor students to build confidence, clinical judgment, and skills. You will continue your own professional practice, teaching 1–2 clinical shifts per week during the academic term at local clinical sites, while maintaining your nursing career.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Michigan.
• Master's degree in Nursing.
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide nursing students through hands-on clinical experiences in local healthcare settings.
• Connect real-world nursing practice to what students are learning in their courses.
• Coach and mentor students as they develop clinical skills, judgment, communication, and confidence.
• Observe student performance and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation.
• Recognize opportunities for additional support and help students develop through coaching and remediation.
• Collaborate with Joyce faculty and staff to support a consistent, student-centered learning experience.
• Stay current in your nursing practice and bring current clinical knowledge into your teaching.
• Participate in select university activities such as faculty meetings, pinning ceremonies, and graduation.
