Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant to support students in Vallejo, CA. The role involves instruction, mentoring, and assisting with skill labs for an 8–10 week program. Prior Medical Assistant experience and CPR certification are valued; no teaching experience required.

Compensation ranges from $20 to $25 per hour with bonuses and opportunities for raises. Flexible day/evening schedules and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field required.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience.
• Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
• No teaching experience required
• Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Comfortable with computers and technology.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Aid student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Aid in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Aid all required skill labs with the Lead instructor.
