Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor in San Jose, CA to inspire and guide students through an 8-10 week program. You will deliver engaging lessons, grade assignments, and support skill labs with an assistant instructor, while maintaining professional standards.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of MA experience, strong clinical knowledge, and comfort with technology. No prior teaching experience is required, and the role offers a hybrid schedule with on-site

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience. Back-office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging.
• No teaching experience required; energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Comfortable with computers and technology; highly organized and detail oriented.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Assist in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor.
• Grade class assignments and exams.
