Job summary

CALRegional in Milpitas, CA is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant to support student learning in evenings. You will follow an established course outline, mentor learners, and deliver labs and assessments with professionalism.

Requirements include 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, familiarity with A&P, medical terminology, and CPR. Strong computer skills and organization are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related field is required.
• Career Technical Education or similar teaching credential is preferred.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience.
• Back-office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
• No teaching experience required.
• Energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Comfortable with computers and technology.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Assist in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor.
• Grade class assignments and exams.
