Job summary

Cancer Care Specialists of IL is seeking a part-time Clinical Lab Technician to support the Laboratory Services Director. The role involves performing high-complexity tests, ensuring QA/QC, and communicating results accurately within regulatory guidelines.

You will perform phlebotomy as needed, manage specimens, and assist with lab operations while maintaining safety and confidentiality in a busy clinical setting. Prior MLT/CLT training and ASCP eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Science or equivalent.
• Completion of accredited two-year MLT/CLT program; ASCP eligible.

Responsibilities

• Performs high complexity tests on biological specimens.
• Maintains quality control and quality assurance processes.
• Enters test results into LIS and communicates results.
• Performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Transports STAT specimens to other facilities when required.
• Bills accurately for procedures and maintains supplies.
