Job summary

Cancer Care Specialists of IL is seeking a part-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform high-complexity lab testing and phlebotomy under director supervision. The role emphasizes QA and accurate result reporting within a regulated lab environment.

The position requires a science degree, MT/CLS training, and ASCP eligibility. EPIC training is also required. Hours are part-time, with patient-focused care and safety as priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Science.
• Accredited two-year MT/CLS program.
• ASCP certification or eligible.
• Must take EPIC training and pass tests.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports analytical tests, including high complexity tests, accurately and timely.
• Maintains quality assurance and watchful for factors affecting results.
• Enter test results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Phlebotomy duties as needed.
• Bills accurately for laboratory procedures.
• Transports STAT specimens as required.
