Job summary

LCMC Health seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform clinical laboratory testing of blood and body fluids, evaluate data, and operate laboratory instrumentation. You will ensure safety compliance and report results promptly to support patient care.

Responsibilities include specimen processing, high-complexity testing, instrument maintenance, and QA/QC documentation. A BS in Medical Laboratory Science and licensure eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in medical lab science preferred.
• NAACLS accredited program preferred.
• Meets requirements to sit for CLS/MT certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes, and distributes lab specimens.
• Operates primary and secondary instrumentation proficiently.
• Reports test results within established turnaround times.
• Performs high complexity testing accurately and timely.
• Maintains and calibrates instruments; troubleshoots issues.
• Supports QA/QC procedures and documentation.
