Job summary

WellsColeman, a Richmond-based firm, seeks a Client Accounting Advisor focused on outsourced accounting to join on-site in our Richmond office.

You will work with our Client Accounting & Advisory Services Team to provide full-service accounting, local tax services, software consulting, and strategic advisory for SMBs across industries. The role offers growth, open communication, and limited travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industry-related experience, preferably in a professional services or public accounting firm.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
• Degree in Accounting is required.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts
• Reconcile subsidiary accounts to control accounts
• Post periodic transactions and adjusting journal entries to accounting software
• Prepare payroll and payroll tax returns
• Prepare sales and other local tax returns i.e. 1099s
• Prepare periodic financial statements and customized financial reports
• Maintain and review General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
• Advise clients on accounting, tax, and financial matters
• Analyze financial statements for trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement
• Assist clients with QuickBooks Online set-up, training, and troubleshooting
• Utilize technology platforms in conjunction with QuickBooks Online (i.e. HubDoc, Bill, Double)
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal team members to ensure goals and deadlines are met
