Job summary

Anchor Point Advisory Group in Sedalia, MO seeks an experienced Client Accounting & Advisory Professional to help small businesses and nonprofits use financial data to make better decisions. You’ll manage day-to-day accounting, improve processes, and turn numbers into actionable insights.

You’ll perform full-cycle accounting for multiple clients, work extensively in QuickBooks Online, and collaborate with tax and advisory teams to deliver timely reports and growth-oriented solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or relevant hands-on experience (CPA preferred but not required).
• Experience with full-cycle accounting (public accounting or industry).
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar cloud-based systems.
• Mindset geared toward process improvement and smart use of technology.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills; ability to explain financials in plain language.
• Proactive, problem-solving approach; self-starter.
• Interest in helping small businesses and nonprofits grow.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple clients (monthly close, reconciliations, financial reporting, etc.).
• Work extensively in QuickBooks Online and related apps to maintain accurate, real-time financials.
• Help clients clean up, streamline, and improve their accounting systems and workflows.
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency and help implement them.
• Deliver clear, timely financial reports and help clients understand what the numbers mean.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning conversations.
• Serve as a go-to contact for clients - responsive, proactive, and solutions-oriented.
• Collaborate with tax and advisory teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
