Qualifications

• Requires at least an Associate degree or higher with GPA 2.5+ or C average.
• Requires 60 sem. hours or 90 qtr. hours with GPA 2.5+ or C average.
• High school diploma or equivalent with passing GACE Paraprofessional assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with instruction in identified program for the classroom.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
• Support student learning and classroom activities in cooperation with teachers and staff.
• Provide supervision and positive guidance to students during activities.
• Aid substitute teachers to maintain program continuity and classroom routines.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct in all student interactions.
• Contribute feedback on class activities and reinforce learning with small groups.
• Assist with equipment and technology used for instruction.
• Participate in school improvement through committees as assigned.
