Job summary

YMCA of the East Bay in Pleasant Hill, CA is seeking a Child Watch Staff to provide a safe and fun experience for children in the child watch program. You will supervise activities and contribute to a welcoming, organized environment.

This role requires CPR/First Aid/AED certifications within 30 days of hire, strong communication, and the ability to engage families while maintaining safety and procedures in a dynamic community setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience with children required.
• Good communication and relationship building skills.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the children and lead age appropriate activities while following all association procedures and safety standards.
• Cultivate positive relationships and maintain effective communication with parents.
• Ensure all participants are properly signed in and signed out.
• Maintain child watch area and equipment and provide light cleaning.
• Maintain required program records.
• Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
