Job summary

Intercept Health in Roanoke, VA seeks a Part-time Child Behavior Specialist to support and implement individualized plans for children with autism and developmental disabilities, under a BCBA supervision. You will observe client skills, collect data, and help develop goals to improve language, behavior, and social skills.

Required: high school diploma and experience with children; must hold a registered behavior technician credential in good standing, or complete a 40-hour training, competency

Qualifications

Must have RBT credential in good standing or complete 40-hour training with assessment within 6 months (IH provides training).
Afternoon availability until 6 P.M. required.
Experience with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.
Entry-level pay starts at $20 and increases with experience and certification, up to $26 for direct care.

Responsibilities

Support and implement an individualized plan based on client targets and goals.
Observe client skills and collect data to assess and develop program goals.
Work with children, adolescents, and young adults in a center-based program.
Focus on decreasing unsafe behaviors while increasing communication and social skills under supervision.
