Job summary

Intercept Health in Virginia is seeking a Part Time Child Behavior Specialist to support development and execution of individualized plans for children and youths with autism or developmental disabilities under supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

The role emphasizes reducing unsafe behaviors while increasing communication and social skills, requiring a high school diploma, RBT credential or training within 6 months, and afternoon availability until 6 P.M.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain a Registered Behavior Technician credential within 6 months of hire (IH provides training compensation).
• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science preferred; experience with autism/developmental disabilities a plus.
• Must have afternoon availability until 6 P.M.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement an individualized plan based on client targets and goals, focusing on reducing unsafe behaviors while increasing communication and social skills.
• Observe client skills and collect data to assess abilities and develop program goals.
• Work with children, adolescents, and young adults in a center-based program to promote language, behavioral, social, and daily living skills.
