Job summary

STAR ABA LLC is seeking a Behavioral Technician to support children with autism and related developmental disabilities in home, community, clinic, and school settings. You will collect data, assist with parent training, and work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Responsibilities include implementing intervention strategies, teaching targeted behaviors, recording data, and communicating progress to families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with 1 year of direct relevant experience or an associate’s degree with 2 years of direct relevant experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement intervention strategies under supervision of a BCBA.
• Teach targeted behaviors using reward systems and incidental teaching.
• Record and track data from training sessions.
• Reinforce positive behavior with children on caseload.
• Communicate with administrators, parents and community members.
• Provide accurate documentation of intervention, goals and objectives.
• Facilitate transitions between agencies and programs as service provision changes.
• Identify emergency situations and ensure child safety.
