Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking Chaplains to serve employees and their families at client sites. The role emphasizes providing spiritual care, crisis support, and discreet pastoral counseling in diverse settings.

Chaplains will visit worksites weekly, offer confidential discussions, and coordinate with executives to support employee well-being and morale. The position requires Christian faith, empathy, and the ability to interact respectfully with varied teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and interfaith setting.
• Strong listening and communication skills with clients, employees and families.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian values and ministry.
• Diplomacy, patience, and courtesy in diverse groups; maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent oral and written communication; document accurately to standards.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a messenger of faith, mission, and purpose.
• Interacts with companies, employees, and community with character and integrity.
• Makes weekly visits to worksites to build trust and friendship.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for employees and families.
• May assist in funerals and bereavement support; provides post-termination care when needed.
• May visit employees or family members at hospitals, nursing homes, or other sites.
• Provides literature and resources to employees on life issues.
• Represents ministry services to clients and handles new employee orientation.
