Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking chaplains to provide frontline spiritual care to employees and their families at client worksites. You will offer confidential pastoral support, visit sites weekly, and coordinate referrals for personal or family needs, all within the context of Christian ministry.

Role requires spiritual maturity, Christian values, and the ability to engage with diverse staff in interfaith settings while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary group and interfaith setting.
• Excellent listening and communication skills; ability to interact with clients and families under stress.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian values; adheres to a biblically based church.
• Diplomacy, patience, and courteous interaction with diverse groups; maintain confidentiality.
• Strong oral and written communication; emotional stability in face of suffering and emergencies.
• Analytical ability to define problems and follow up on objectives; interpret policy as needed.
• Proficiency with Google Suites, Microsoft Office, and web-based tools; quick learner of new tech.
• Valid state driver’s license and auto insurance where servicing clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a messenger of faith, mission, and purpose to employees and families.
• Interact with companies and employees with professional conduct reflecting faith and character.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions and coordinate specialized assistance.
• Visit worksites weekly to build trust and relationships with staff and families.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals and follow-up support during grief periods.
• May visit inmates or accompany employees’ family members in sensitive situations.
• Provide post-termination care to ease transitions to new work environments.
