Job summary

MCHAP is seeking a Part-Time Chaplain in St. Louis, MO to serve employees and their families across client sites. The role emphasizes compassionate spiritual support, confidential discussions, and referrals to community resources.

Regular visits and faith-based guidance will help nurture trust and morale within the workforce. The Chaplain will participate in orientation and coordinate with the Executive Director of Operations and client leadership to deliver compassionate care in diverse

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary group.
• Ability to operate in an interfaith setting and respect diverse beliefs.
• Strong listening and communication skills with employees and families.
• Ability to provide confidential pastoral discussions and referrals.
• Strong organizational skills and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Visiting company sites regularly to build trust with employees and families.
• Provide pastoral support at hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, or residences.
• Offer spiritual guidance and coordinate referrals for needs beyond chaplaincy.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals and post-termination support.
• Represent the chaplaincy services to clients and employees as appropriate.
• Participate in new employee orientation to explain Employee Care Service.
• Respond to leadership requests within scope of agreement.
