Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a relief shuttle bus driver to support Cambridge and Allston campuses. This position requires night and early morning shifts with a 19-hour weekly schedule. Compensation includes a base rate with a minor shift differential.

The role involves operating shuttle routes, conducting safety checks, and assisting passengers. A MA CDL with Passenger & Air Brake endorsements and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a valid MA CDL (Passenger & Air Brake) and at least five years driving experience.
• Excellent driving record and strong verbal communication skills in a customer-focused environment.
• Experience transporting passengers and working on a team with a service-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate shuttle bus on designated routes across Cambridge and Allston campuses.
• Coordinate with dispatcher and respond to route changes via two-way radio.
• Perform daily safety inspections and complete vehicle condition reports.
• Refuel and recharge vehicles as needed.
• Assist passengers with mobility impairments entering and exiting.
• Perform related duties as required.
