Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration (CADM) seeks a shuttle driver to operate a van serving Cambridge and Allston campuses. You will respond to online ride requests, assist mobility-impaired passengers, and coordinate with dispatchers to follow routes and schedules.

Role requires strong communication, a valid license, and a customer-first approach. Work involves outdoor duties, uniforms, and a 29.5-hour weekly schedule with set shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three to five years of related passenger transport experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication, clear speaking voice and solid customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a customer-focused team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates shuttle van to meet scheduled and on-demand passenger pickup requests.
• Communicates on two-way radio with dispatcher to confirm route changes.
• Assists passengers with mobility impairments entering and exiting.
• Performs safety inspections and reports vehicle condition for maintenance.
• Cleans vehicle interior and handles refueling as needed.
• Uses on-demand electronic tech to provide safe ride services at night.
