Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration seeks a relief shuttle driver to operate campus routes in Cambridge and Allston. Schedule includes early morning shifts on select days, with 19 hours per week and a shift differential. Candidates must hold a MA CDL with Passenger & Air Brake endorsements and have a solid driving record.

Responsibilities include daily safety checks, driver communications, and assisting passengers with mobility needs. Uniform is provided; pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of passenger transport experience preferred.
• Must possess strong verbal communication skills and solid customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates shuttle bus on designated routes on the Cambridge and Allston campuses.
• Operates transit vehicles for charters and extended services.
• Communicates on two-way radio with coordinator to receive instructions and confirm changes.
• Performs daily safety inspection of vehicle and equipment and completes vehicle condition report.
• Performs refueling and electric recharging of vehicles as needed.
• Assists passengers with mobility impairments both entering and exiting vehicle.
