Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a clean driving record, religious alignment with our Statement of Faith, and commitment to the LifeWise program.

The position involves maintaining vehicle safety, adhering to traffic laws, and supporting classroom activities as needed. A background check and drug testing are required.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) is required.
• School bus (S) endorsement is preferred.
• Age 21–80; driver over 75 must annually submit CDL license copy and P endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol testing as required.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist with boarding/alighting.
• Complete LifeWise Academy required training and volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if arranged.
