Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc. in Downtown Waterloo, IA seeks a Retail Part Time team member. You will assist customers, handle register transactions, process donations, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

You’ll greet donors, sort items, manage stock, support loading/unloading, and participate in continuous improvement of service. This role requires flexibility for evenings/weekends and a forklift license if able.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; substitution allowed for experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm; reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance; flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and ensures a positive shopping experience.
• Operates cash register and keeps lines moving efficiently.
• Sorts and grades donations, stocks merchandise, and assists with online sales.
• Unloads donations from donors and records donation counts.
• Maintains store cleanliness and safety; assists with maintenance tasks.
• Loads outbound truck goods and supports forklift operations when needed.
