Job summary

Goodwill Outlet Store Waterloo, IA is seeking a part-time associate to assist customers, process donations, and manage the register. You will sort and stock merchandise, unload donations, and keep the sales floor clean while delivering friendly service in line with Goodwill’s mission.

Must be 16+, with a can-do attitude, able to lift up to 50 lbs with help, and available evenings/weekends/holidays. Forklift license may be required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; substitutions may apply.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude with ability to motivate others.
• Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Reliable transportation and flexible schedule incl. evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Willingness to obtain forklift license if able.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and provides excellent service at the register.
• Sorts and grades donations and shipments to stock high quality merchandise.
• Operates cash register; keep lines moving efficiently.
• Identifies merchandise for online sales and processes it accordingly.
• Greets donors and unloads items, ensuring a positive donating experience.
• Maintains store cleanliness and safety; assists with upkeep as needed.
• Assists and trains new team members on duties and procedures.
• Minimizes waste and maximizes salvage opportunities through recycling.
