Job summary

Southside Market & BBQ Inc in Bastrop, TX is seeking a part-time Customer Service teammate. You will greet customers, take orders in person or by phone, assist with dine-in and to-go orders, and ensure accuracy and satisfaction.

You will handle the register and cash with care while maintaining a clean cashier area. Requirements include a Food Handler Certificate, TABC certification if 18+, fluency in English, basic math, and reliable problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required.
• TABC required if 18+ years of age.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to stand/walk, lift up to 40 pounds, in a moderate–loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in person or by phone to ensure accurate orders and satisfaction.
• Knowledgeable of menu; demonstrate suggestive selling.
• Package food correctly for dine-in and to-go orders.
• Ensure order completion and accuracy; use register for transactions.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy; follow cash accountability policy.
• Keep cashier area clean and organized; comply with safety rules.
