Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to greet customers, take orders, and ensure accuracy and satisfaction in person or by phone.

You will work with a friendly team, handle cash using a register, follow safety rules, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining area while delivering Texas-friendly hospitality.

Qualifications include a Food Handler Certificate and TABC when eligible; fluent English is required, and prior cash handling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required.
• TABC required if 18+ years of age.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates well with customers in person or via phone to ensure accuracy of order and customer satisfaction.
• Knowledgeable of menu, demonstrates suggestive selling.
• Packages food correctly for dine in and to go orders.
• Ensures order completion and accuracy.
• Uses register to track all transactions.
• Demonstrates accurate cash handling abilities. Complies with Southside Market's Cashier Accountability Policy.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of cashier area and cash drawer.
• Follows all TABC regulations for responsible alcohol sales.
