Job summary

Southside Market & Bbq in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time Customer Service team member who greets customers, takes orders, and ensures accuracy whether in person or by phone. You’ll learn the menu, demonstrate friendly, Texas‑hospitality, and help with suggestive selling while keeping the register area orderly.

Qualifications include a Food Handler Certificate; TABC if 18+. English fluency, basic math, and prior cash handling are preferred.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required.
• TABC required if 18+ years of age.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates well with customers in person or via phone to ensure accuracy of order and customer satisfaction.
• Knowledgeable of menu, demonstrates suggestive selling.
• Packages food correctly for dine in and to go orders.
• Ensures order completion and accuracy.
• Uses register to track all transactions.
• Demonstrates accurate cash handling abilities. Complies with Southside Market's Cashier Accountability Policy.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of cashier area and cash drawer.
• Follows all TABC regulations for responsible alcohol sales.
