Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking CNA’s and experienced in-home health caregivers to support clients in Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties in SC. We offer flexible schedules, training, and competitive pay, with part-time options including days, evenings, weekends, or overnights.

Join a national private-duty home care network dedicated to compassionate, one-on-one care for seniors in their own homes. Drivers license and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance.
• Strong communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders and personal care.
• Prepare light meals per dietary needs.
• Transport clients to shops, pharmacies, appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping and companionship.

Work part-time, days, evenings, weekends, or even overnights per current client roster. Provides personal one-on-one care to the client. On-going need to fill this role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

Skills

• One year of proven experience as an in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

We service Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties, and the surrounding areas in SC.
