Job summary

Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is seeking in-home caregivers (CNAs and experienced) to provide one-on-one care in Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston Counties, SC. Roles include part-time, days, evenings, weekends, or overnights based on client needs.

Competitive pay based on experience with specialized training and a supportive team. We service Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties, and surrounding areas in SC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and insurance; transportation required.
• One year in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Good communication and active listening with clients and families.
• Ability to remain calm in emergent situations.
• Pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
• Medication reminders
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions
• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required, and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for the client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

• One year of proven experience as an in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as Hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench and walker (training is available)
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, (CPR preferred)
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

We service Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties, and the surrounding areas in SC.
