Job summary

A leading home care provider in North Charleston is seeking In Home Aides to deliver compassionate care to seniors. The role involves assisting with daily activities including ambulation, personal hygiene, and meal preparation. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma and at least one year of caregiver experience. This position offers a flexible schedule with shifts ranging from 2 to 12 hours, providing a supportive and family-oriented work environment. Compensation is competitive at $15.00 - $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up‑to‑date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in‑home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Medication reminders
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions
• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments
• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client
• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion

Skills

• One year proven experience as an in‑home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• NO CNA LICENSE REQUIRED!
