Job summary

Barnes & Noble College seeks a Part-Time Campus Store Team Member to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain an organized sales floor. You will assist students and faculty, process transactions at the POS, and support daily store operations with a friendly, knowledgeable approach.

You’ll join a diverse team, gain retail experience, and contribute to a welcoming campus store environment that reflects the Barnes & Noble College brand. Scheduling includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Operate the POS system to process transactions (cash, credit, financial aid).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Support inventory, receiving merchandise, and order fulfillment.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily priorities in a fast-paced store.
