Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is hiring a Part-Time Campus Store Team Member to deliver exceptional customer service, help customers locate course materials and merchandise, and operate the POS system in a fast-paced campus environment.

You will support daily store operations, maintain an organized sales floor, and work with the team to ensure a welcoming experience for students, faculty, and alumni. A flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and teammates.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule year-round, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods, based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating materials, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise to meet their needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising and replenishment.
• Support store operations with inventory, receiving merchandise, and order fulfillment.
