Job summary

Barnes & Noble College seeks a Part-Time Campus Store Team Member to deliver friendly, knowledge-based service while keeping the store clean, stocked, and ready for students and faculty.

You’ll greet customers, help locate materials, operate the POS for purchases, assist with inventory, and collaborate with a team in a fast-paced campus environment. This role offers evening, weekend, and peak-season shifts, with paid daily wage access and store discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating materials, supplies, apparel, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions (cash, cards, financial aid).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor via merchandising and replenishment.
• Assist with inventory, receiving merchandise, and order fulfillment to keep store customer-ready.
• Develop product knowledge and stay informed about promotions and services.
