Allied Universal is seeking a part-time security officer to monitor campus areas, deter security issues, and provide professional service to students, staff, and visitors. The role focuses on visible presence, quick response, and clear communication in a dynamic environment.

This position emphasizes maintaining safety, coordinating with local authorities as needed, and following site post orders. A valid license may be required, and applicants must meet background and drug-screen policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company vehicle.
• Background check per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen per law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 (21 if armed) per state rules.
• Reliable and adaptable to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/console monitors.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or contact authorities in case of emergencies.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to deter theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications as required.
