Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part Time Security Officer at a higher education campus in Austin, TX. You will provide customer service, patrol duties, and protect campus facilities while maintaining a welcoming campus environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow campus protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity and policy violations.
• Document incidents and communicate information to site leadership.
