Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Austin, TX. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking up additional shifts using our scheduling platform.

Pay is $23.25 per hour with a fixed anchor shift and an option to claim additional shifts at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior workspaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.
