Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Austin, TX to provide reliable, consistent security at a technology-focused site and in collaboration with a supportive team.

The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling earnings growth while maintaining work–life balance. Prior security, CPR/First Aid credentials, and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting access concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation while maintaining professional communication with clients and Allied Universal personnel.
