The Office of Campus Security is hiring for the position of part time Dispatcher/Call Taker. We are primarily looking to fill positions for Monday through Friday, day shift. No weekends or holidays. This is a non-commissioned position. Candidates must feel comfortable dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls, prioritizing calls, and communicating efficiently with emergency services. The applicant will simultaneously serve as the Campus Operator, answering all incoming operator calls for the college. Workers will also be expected to help with office needs such as filing, data entry, posting information, and completing secretarial work and special projects.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Work well under high stress situations that require a timely response; Ability to accurately keep records of calls and officer activity; Ability to communicate information via radio to Campus Security Officers and contracted Police Officers; Patient, self sufficient, self motivated, friendly, excellent customer service skills; Familiar with departments and offices on campus; Must be dependable and have reliable transportation; Critical thinker with strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills; Must be able to maintain privacy and confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications: Military, law enforcement, first responder, and/or dispatch experience; Education in applicable studies.
