Job summary

Lorain County Community College seeks a Staff Assistant to support the Children’s Learning Center. The role handles receptionist duties, documents, event planning, enrollment records, and interaction with families and campus departments.

The ideal candidate is organized, communicates respectfully, and works independently or with others. CPR/First Aid and Child Care licensing readiness are required or can be completed after hire. Associates degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and database management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Must complete CPR/First Aid, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse training or have current certification.
• Must meet ODJFS Childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist duties and greet families and staff.
• Produce documents using administrative software for various tasks.
• Assist staff to plan and organize programs and events.
• Maintain enrollment records and tuition accounts; safeguard vital records.
• Interact with children and families and coordinate with campus offices.
• Assist with scheduling and other projects as assigned.
