Job summary

The King’s University seeks a Student Worker – Student Life to support campus events and student engagements on campus while gaining hands-on experience in event coordination and ministry-minded service.

The role involves coordinating logistics, assisting clubs, greeting students, handling communications, and helping with daily office operations under the Director of Student Development.

This on-ground, part-time position offers up to 30 hours weekly for enrolled TKU students.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at The King’s University and eligible for the Student Worker Program.
• GPA 3.0 or better (unofficial transcript required).
• Two TKU faculty or staff recommendations required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in student leadership, ministry, event planning, volunteering, or customer service preferred
• Familiarity with Planning Center Online and social media platforms is a plus
• Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, promoting, and carrying out Student Life events.
• Coordinate event logistics, including room reservations, supply lists, setup, and cleanup.
• Support student clubs and organizations by maintaining club rosters and meeting schedules.
• Prepare agendas and take meeting notes for the Student Leadership Council.
• Assist with daily operations of the TKU Student Union and recruit volunteers.
• Draft social media posts, event announcements, and weekly emails.
• Enter and maintain student and event info in Planning Center Online.
• Monitor and respond to the Student Life email inbox daily.
• Serve as a friendly first point of contact for students visiting or calling the Student Life office.
• Attend trainings and team meetings as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
